Personal Papers & Manuscript Collections

The Plainfield Public Library’s manuscript collection is housed in our Local History Department. It is composed of manuscripts, personal papers, oral histories, vital records and certificates, photographs, scrapbooks, correspondence, ephemera, and other unique material belonging to a particular person or family - usually connected to Plainfield, NJ. Some of the collections have not been fully processed, so please contact the Local History Department about gaining access to them.
