Downloadable Audio & eBooks with eLibraryNJ eLibraryNJ (formerly ListenNJ) is a service provided through our membership in the Libraries of Middlesex Automation Consortium (LMxAC) that allows patrons to download audio books and ebooks in digital formats to computers and selected compatible devices (now including the Amazon Kindle).
The Basics From the eLibraryNJ home page, you can search for a particular audio or ebook, or browse through available itemtypes on the right sideof the page. When you find an item that you would like to download, click "add to cart" on its individual page. You can either continue browsing or proceed to checkout. If the item you are interested in is currently checked out to another patron you can click on "join waiting list" to put a hold on the item. When you are ready to check out, you will be asked to select your library. The Plainfield Public Library is a member of the Libraries of Middlesex Automation Consortium, which will be listed as a library option. After selecting it, you will be asked to input your library card number and PIN (if you need a PIN number, please visit our Circulation Department).
