Arts and Exhibits The Library mounts dozens of exhibits and displays throughout the year showcasing artists, private collections and local history photographs. Feature exhibits are mounted in the Anne Louise Davis Gallery on the lower level. Other exhibits are displayed in the Plainfield Room, the Main Lobby, and in display cases throughout the library. Annual exhibits include the Union County Teen Arts Exhibit (usually in January)
and the Upcoming and current arts exhibitions are noted on the Main Calendar,

Online Exhibits Online exhibits allow the Library to showcase its local history resources through thematic presentations. Some have been developed specifically for the website, while others document short-term physical exhibits and make them available to future generations. Viewers can appreciate the creativity and scholarship invested in the original exhibit while learning about the range and depth of the library's local history collections. Annual Plainfield Public Library Photography Contests Each year the Library holds a photography contest to enhance our local history collections through a community-wide photography competition. Local photographers, both professional and amateur, are welcome to contribute to the building of Plainfield's visual archives for future historians. The Plainfield Public Library together with the Friends of the Plainfield Public Library have announced the theme of the 2010 Photo contest, "East Side, West Side, All Around the Town!"
