Challenge Grant Of $25,000 To Aid Capital Campaign

Plainfield Public Library has announced it has received a donation of $25,000, to be used as a challenge grant for the “Preserving the Past/Building our Future” Capital Campaign.

Library Board President Anne E. Robinson notes that the donation is from a local family that wishes to remain anonymous, but she points to the appropriateness of family support for a popular family institution.

Ms. Robinson also hopes that the challenge grant will inspire donors to complete their pledges and other library supporters to make their first pledge or donation to the campaign.

Pledges may be paid over a 3 to 5 year period. The library’s goal is to raise $1 million to complete renovations and upgrades of the 1968 facility.

Donations should be made to the PPL Cap Campaign, c/o Plainfield Public Library at 800 Park Avenue, Plainfield NJ 07060 .
