Getting a Library Card
Any child who is able to write his/her name may apply for a card. Applications for children must be signed by a parent or legal guardian.
Special Services
Librarians participate in a wide array of community education and assistance work throughout the year. Our staff regularly participates in the following:
- Reaching out to schools and students throughout the year
- Meeting with teachers and media specialists to help support the school curriculum
- Helping students with homework assignments
- Suggesting recreational reading materials
- Speaking to school assemblies
- Presenting book talks
- Promoting important programs such as the
Summer Reading Program
Programs & Summer Projects
When homework is finished, all young people are encouraged to drop by the library to:
- Read stories together with friends
- Participate in the fun of drawing or learn a craft skill like origami
- Attend a program that features performers, storytellers, magicians or musicians
