Plainfield Library Map Collection

A Comprehensive Inventory Organized By Title

The map collection at the Plainfield Public Library includes 98 State maps beginning in 1874. There are 40 Plainfield maps. These include 19 flat maps and 21 framed walls maps. We also have Sanborn Fire Insurance Maps that exist in hard copy and microfilm from 1886 to 1956. The finding aid below is organized to give descriptive information about each map including title, date, topographer, geologist, and subject. Please contact the Local History Department for information on the access and use of these items.
