Photography Contest - Call For Entries
Professional and amateur photographers of all ages are invited to enter the 2008 Photography Contest. This year’s theme is “Storefronts and Shopping Scenes,” and entries are now being accepted. Entries will be exhibited in the library’s main gallery in November and December, 2008. Winning photographs will be added to the library’s historic photograph collection and are eligible for cash prizes.

Current Art Exhibit
Plainfield Public Library is proud to feature an art exhibit by local artist Gerry Heydt; the theme is "On Back Roads and Beaches - New Jersey Landscape Paintings." The exhibit will be open in the Anne Louise Davis Room on the lower level of the library until Friday, September 19.

Historical Photograph Exhibit
Throughout the summer, "Preserving Rare Photographs of Early Settlers” will be on display in the library lobby and downstairs in the Plainfield Room. The exhibit demonstrates some of the developments in the history of photography as well as providing insight into one of Plainfield’s early families, such as the Vails.
