GETTING A LIBRARY CARD
Any child who is able to write his/her name may apply for a card. Applications for children must be signed by a parent or legal guardian.
SPECIAL SERVICES
Librarians participate in a wide array of community education and assistance work throughout the year. Our staff regularly participates in the following:
  • Reaching out to schools and students throughout the year
  • Meeting with teachers and media specialists to help support the school curriculum
  • Helping students with homework assignments
  • Suggesting recreational reading materials
  • Speaking to school assemblies
  • Presenting book talks
  • Promoting important programs such as the Summer Reading Program
PROGRAMS & CREATIVE PROJECTS
When homework is finished, all young people are encouraged to drop by the library to:

  • Read stories together with friends
  • Participate in the fun of drawing or learn a craft skill like origami
  • Attend a program that features performers, storytellers, magicians or musicians
