Our Library -
Library Park
Library Park is under the jurisdiction of the City of Plainfield and not the Plainfield Public Library. If you are planning to have an event in Library Park, please contact the following offices:
Permits for public events - contact the City Clerk at City Hall, 515 Watchung Avenue, 908-753-3222
Electrical access - contact the Public Works Division, 515 Watchung Avenue, 908-753-3375
Repair and maintenance of fixtures - contact the Public Works Division, 515 Watchung Avenue, 908-753-3375
Street closing for College Place - contact the Plainfield Police Division, 200 East Fourth Street, 908-753-3039
As a courtesy, any group planning to have the College Place street closed for an event is requested to notify library administration at 908-757-2305.
Access to both parking lots of the Library must remain free and clear during the library's hours of operation.
Approval in advance must be obtained from Library Administration for the following:
- To use or block either of the library's parking lots
- To use the library steps for performance or announcements
- To draw electric for microphones, etc.
- To place a Porta-Potty on library property (i.e. the 9th Street Parking Lot)
