Retired educator and past principal

Margaret received a doctorate from Rutgers University.  She has been the Assistant Superintendent for Curriculum and Instruction for Orange, NJ; the Curriculum Director for East Orange, and a Principal in Matawan.  She has won several special awards: East Orange Educator’s Award, Woman of the Year-Federated Women’s Club, Alpha Kappa Alpha-Gamma Alpha’s Illustrious Alumna Award-AK, and the Educational Pioneer-New Brunswick’s Heritage Organization. She is active with the National Association of Colored Women’s Club, the N.A.A.C.P., and the Afro American Historical and Genealogical Society.
